The Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department has uncovered a transnational drug trafficking case that utilized an air route following a coordinated effort with other relevant units.

Accordingly, local police found a suspicious package on January 9, which was sent from France to Ho Chi Minh City.

Conducting checks on the item, they discovered about 2.2 kg of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), hidden in a CD player.

On the same day, border forces also seized roughly 70 grams of MDMA hidden in a package sent from the Netherlands to Vietnam.

The cases are being investigated further.

During the first ten days of the year, border forces have discovered three drug trafficking cases operating via the postal system.
