VASCO today, January 2, will not operate flight 0V8070 on the Can Tho-Con Dao route, as well as nine flights connecting HCMC with Con Dao. Passengers affected by the canceled flights will be accommodated on extra flights that are scheduled to depart tomorrow.

Also, the carrier recommended that passengers who planned to travel by air to and from Can Tho and Con Dao during the bad weather should stay updated on the latest weather news and notifications to arrange their travel plans appropriately.

Storm No.1, internationally known as Pabuk, is forecast to strengthen and hit Ca Mau Cape, with accompanying rains and thunderstorms on coastal areas stretching from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and other southern provinces.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the storm will likely move westward within the next 24 hours at some 15 kilometers per hour.

As of 1 p.m. tomorrow, it is expected to be some 200 kilometers from the south of Ca Mau Cape and some 300 kilometers south-west of Con Dao Island, packing strong winds at level 8 and gusting at level 10.
