The 2,368.3 DWT ship, M/V. ROYAL 09, was floating at 4.30 pm as the tide was rising upstream.

Its stern hit Dong Nai Bridge and the ship became stuck. Two tugboats were mobilised to help and the ship was released after an hour.

The ship was reportedly not carrying any goods at the time.
