The school where the incident occurred

According to reports from local authorities, the head teacher whose name has not yet been disclosed handed over two different tests to the students who were told to do one of them only.

However, a boy did not hear the instruction so he did both. The teacher became angry and slapped two times on his cheek.

The boy was taken to hospital for examination after their parents saw blood in his ear. Doctors said his brain was also affected and he needed further monitoring.

The boy’s parents said that the teacher’s behaviour seriously affected the boy.  Now, he has returned the class as normal, but the family is still waiting for further check-ups.

The school representatives and the teacher came to the student’s house to make an apology.

Dinh Quy Nhan, head of the provincial Department of Education and Training, said that the investigation into the case is being conducted.

He also noted that irrespective of any reasons, such behaviour was unacceptable.

According to the People’s Committee of Le Thuy District, the teacher must be suspended and face legal action.

A teacher at a secondary school in Quang Binh recently was criticized for instructing 23 pupils to slap a classmate 231 times for using foul language.
